Rider killed in Severn Twp. ATV crash

Provincial police are investigating a fatal ATV crash that happened in Severn Township Sunday evening.

According to Orillia OPP, emergency crews were dispatched to a single-vehicle ATV crash at around 8:30 p.m. on Laughlin Falls Road between Lovering Line and Taylor Line.

Police say the 26-year-old male rider was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving efforts by first responders.

Laughlin Falls Road was closed in the area for several hours as the OPP’s Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) unit helped with the on-scene investigation. The area reopened just after midnight.

Anyone who witnessed the incident and anyone with footage that may help the ongoing investigation is asked to come forward.
