Wasaga Beach calling on food truck vendors to set up shop this summer

The Town of Wasaga Beach says the up to 2 million visitors that stop by to enjoy the sun and the sand, will also need something enjoyable to eat this summer.

The municipality has opened up applications for food truck vendors for the 2026 to 2028 season of festivals and events.

Along with a Canada Day firework show, the beach hosts a number of music festivals each year from summer until fall, that thousands are expected to attend.

“This is about being part of the full Wasaga Beach summer experience,” Mayor Brian Smith said in a release shared by the town.

“People come here for the beach, the events, and the atmosphere and great food is a big part of that,” Smith added.

The town said it aims to enhance the beachfront experience along its 14-kilometre shoreline and is seeking qualified food vendors to bring a “vibrant and welcoming” atmosphere for visitors.

According to the municipality, the events are expected to create multiple peak revenue moments for vendors and bring consistent business.
