We are halfway done with the rainfall in Calgary. As of 6 p.m. Monday, the city received 34.2 millimetres of rain, recorded at Calgary International Airport. Another 30 to 35 millimetres is possible into Tuesday as the rain intensifies Monday night into the next morning. That rainfall will lighten in the afternoon Tuesday and will be fully out of the city by the supper hours. It will remain windy and cool until Wednesday. The sun will make a welcome return on Wednesday, although there is a small chance of a late-day sprinkle. By Thursday, the temperature will jump back into the twenties. There’s a small risk of a late-day shower or non-severe thunderstorm. Take a walk around your property again and make sure that water is directed away from your house so it doesn’t end up in your basement. And don’t get close to the rivers.
