A lone chicken ended up in Samantha Scherer’s yard Friday evening. The Forest Lawn resident posted to her community Facebook group hoping someone would recognize the ‘fowl’ visitor. Scherer tells CTV News Calgary that the chicken literally came knocking on her door. After safely guiding it into her fenced-off yard, she and her husband left it some Cheerios. Scherer says she has two dogs; otherwise, she’d let the animal inside. Other residents have offered to house the chicken until the owner claims it.
