The Alberta government has confirmed some Assured Disability Income Assistance (AISH) clients have not received their August payments on time. “We are aware of technical issues affecting some August Disability Income Assistance payments,” Nathan Neudorf, the minister of assisted living and social services said in a social media post. “We are working to identify impacted clients and to immediately correct any payment issues in full.” One AISH client who didn’t receive a payment wrote in an email to CTV News Edmonton that she was concerned she wouldn’t be able to pay rent on time. “Corrected payments will be released within three business days of a client being identified as affected,” a spokesperson for Neudorf’s office said in an email to CTV News Edmonton. No further details were released.
