Ontario Provincial Police are asking for the public’s help with a crash investigation. It happened north of Guelph on Sept. 10, near the intersection of Highway 6 and Wellington Road 22. A 74-year-old from Fergus was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they would not identify them out of respect for the family’s privacy. The other driver was an 82-year-old from Elora. They were taken to a local hospital and then airlifted to a trauma centre with serious injuries. OPP shared no further details about the crash but are hoping the public can help investigators piece together what happened that day. “Police continue to actively investigate this incident and are appealing to the public for assistance,” they wrote in a media release on Sept. 14. “Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, has dash camera footage, or may have information relevant to the investigation is asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.” Tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington at www.csgw.tips or 1-800-222- 8477.
