A 52-year-old from Hanover has been charged with luring a person under the age of 16 following an investigation by the Sudbury Police. In March 2026, Sudbury Police launched an undercover investigation into individuals targeting young people attempting to lure children for a sexual purpose. As a result of that investigation, they have charged a 66-year-old from Waterloo and a 52-year-old from Hanover. Sudbury Police are warning the public that the suspect from Hanover was using the online social media name of @Hiltonhaven, while communicating with and allegedly attempting to lure young people online.
