Mayor Josh Morgan is promising to ‘finish what he started’ while ‘being bold enough to do more.’ He unveiled his election campaign platform Monday afternoon at the Jet Aircraft Museum while holding a family event with food, music, and children’s inflatables. Morgan says his platform is built around four pillars which include Community, Connection, Commerce, and Security. “We’ve made a lot of groundwork over the last number of years,” Morgan told CTV News Monday. “We’ve done a lot of investments across the city, but if we don’t execute and take that to the next level, we will not rise to the potential of what London can and should be. We’re going to recognize the challenges we face as well. We know Londoners are facing an affordability challenge, and we’re going to make sure that we make life more affordable over the next four years. But at the same time, invest in critical infrastructure, invest in neighborhood parks. We’re going to make sure we build a safe and secure city for all because without safety and security, you know nothing else really matters.” Some of the highlights of his campaign include: He plans on door knocking right up until election day next month. “I’m the kind of person who will who will engage with Londoners right before the polls close on election night,” said Morgan. “It’s how I’ve always done it. Getting out and talking to London and speaking to them about where we’re going, where we’ve been and where they want us to head, is what campaigns are all about. I’m excited that there’s lots of people branch out across the city, in the wards who are creating lots of excitement, engaging with a lot of people, and I hope everybody turns out to vote.” There are 11 other certified candidates in the race for mayor in the October 2026 election, including John Feher, Lawrence-Zachary Howe, Barry Douglas Jacklin, Tariq Khan, Kirsten Krose, Dan Lenart, Bronagh Joyce Morgan, Christine Rosehart, Susan Stevenson, Jeff Yam, and Mustafa Zeboon.
