The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is investigating in Hanover following an incident that took place in May 2024. On May 13, 2024, around 2:30 a.m., South Bruce OPP conducted a traffic stop on Bruce Road 10 in West Grey. Police tried to take one person into custody, when the suspect reportedly ran from the area. They were later found and arrested, reporting injuries from the incident. The SIU invoked its mandate for the incident on Friday. Any further information on the matter will come from the SIU.
