Here are the Montreal-area weekend road closures: Habs playoffs edition

Montreal drivers should be aware that closures are expected this weekend due to construction.

In addition, the Montreal Canadiens game on Friday night may cause significant traffic downtown.

Planning trips before leaving is advised.

Habs game (Bell Centre)

• On Friday, from 1 p.m., the block between de la Montagne Street, Peel Street, René-Lévesque Boulevard and Canadiens-de-Montréal Avenue will be closed for Game 6 between the Montreal Canadiens and Tampa Bay Lightning.

The reopening of lanes will vary depending on the duration of the game.

Honoré-Mercier Bridge (Route-138)

• From 3 a.m. on Saturday to 5 a.m. on Monday, one lane will be open in each direction on the bridge.
• Lasalle Boulevard will be closed between Lafleur Avenue and Trésor-Caché Avenue.

Highway 13 / Highway 520 Interchange (Côte-de-Liesse)

• From Friday at 9:30 p.m. to Monday at 5 a.m., Exit 3-O (A-520 westbound) will be closed on Highway 13 northbound.
• Côte-de-Liesse Road west will be closed between Montée de Liesse and Renaud Avenue.

Réseau express métropolitain (REM)

• Planned works on the network will result in a delayed start to services on May 2 and 3.
• The first departures from the Deux-Montagnes and Brossard stations will be at 7:30 a.m. From Gare Centrale station, it will be at 7:35 a.m.

43e Avenue

• Closures are expected as part of the reconstruction work on the overpasses above Highway 13, 43e Avenue and along the Highway 520 (Côte-de-Liesse Road).
• This work, which will resume on May 3, is due to be completed by early summer.

Highway 40

• Starting 4 May, resurfacing works and culvert repairs will begin on Highway 40 (Félix Leclerc), eastbound between the Charles-De Gaulle Bridge and Route 341 (Montée de l’Épiphanie, Louis-Philippe-Picard Boulevard) and westbound from Route 341 to the west of the Benjamin Moreau Bridge.

All work may be cancelled due to weather or operational constraints.
