Montreal police are looking for a suspect and any other potential victims of a man they say committed four incidents of sexual assault on the city’s public transit system. Police issued a news release Thursday saying the four alleged assaults occurred in the spring of 2025 and 2026 at the Peel, Honoré Beaugrand, and Saint-Michel metro stations, as well as aboard the STM bus line 33. According to police, while the victims were using public transit—whether by bus or metro—the suspect would sit or stand near them and discreetly touch their thighs or buttocks. In one of the incidents that occurred in 2026, he also allegedly followed a minor victim. Police describe the man as in his 30s with dark skin, with black hair and a black beard. He is approximately 5’9” tall and was reportedly seen wearing a dark beanie, a red backpack, a beige or dark blue jacket, a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, and tan-coloured shoes. The SPVM is releasing four images that may help identify the individual. Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to call 911 or contact their local police station.
