David Letterman is headed to Montreal’s Just For Laughs festival for the first time ever to host An Evening with David Letterman and Special Guest Will Arnett. “Discover a very special and unscripted in-conversation event between two extraordinary comedy legends at Place des Arts,” the festival boasts. The show follows a sold-out appearance at Just For Laughs Vancouver in February, marking his first Canadian performance since 1978. “David Letterman and Will Arnett are two of the most celebrated voices in entertainment, whose influence on comedy, television, film and popular culture is undeniable,” said Nick Brazao, vice president of programming and talent with Just For Laughs. “To welcome them together to Montreal for this special one-night-only event is an incredible opportunity for our audiences and exactly the kind of unique, can’t-miss experience that we strive to provide at the festival.” The 79-year-old comedian most famously hosted Late Night with David Letterman from 1982 to 1993 and Late Show with David Letterman from 1993 to 2015. The one-and-a-half-hour event is set to run at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier. It is scheduled for July 21 at 7 p.m., with tickets going on sale on June 30 at 10 a.m. Just For Laughs Montreal runs from July 15 to 26.
