A traffic stop by North Bay police Aug. 31 led to charges against a man and a woman after officers seized drugs believed to be fentanyl, weapons and cash. In a news release Sept. 3, police said they stopped a vehicle for failing to display two licence plates in the area of Laurier Avenue and Fisher Street. A search uncovered 0.2 grams of fentanyl, $11,315 in cash, a BB gun and a kusari-like weapon. A 43-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman were charged with drug, property and weapons offences. The accused and co-accused were arrested and released on undertakings with a future court date.
