Ontario Provincial Police charged a 66-year-old man on Wednesday following an ATV incident in West Nipissing. Just after 1:00 p.m., officers tried to stop an all-terrain vehicle on Highway 539A, police said in a news release Thursday. “The driver failed to stop for police but was later located and arrested further along the highway in River Valley,” police said Police charged the West Nipissing man with impaired driving, driving while prohibited and flight from a peace officer. The accused had his licence suspended for 90 days and the ATV was impounded for seven days. The man is also scheduled to appear in a North Bay court on Nov. 5.
