Two Timmins residents have been charged following a joint drug trafficking investigation involving city police and the Ontario Provincial Police, the Timmins Police Service says. Police said the investigation follows a previous drug trafficking probe in June 2026, during which a 43-year-old Timmins man was charged with several drug-related offences after a search warrant was executed at a Borden Avenue residence. “As part of the ongoing investigative efforts, a subsequent search warrant was executed at a separate Borden Avenue address on Oct. 20,” police said in a news release. Charges laid As a result of the investigation and subsequent search, the same man was charged with three drug trafficking offences, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, three counts of possession of a prohibited weapon or device and three counts of failing to comply with a release order. Items seized During the investigation, police seized 1.7 grams of cocaine, 0.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine and six tablets of Percocet, along with $279.15 in cash, two cell phones, a digital scale and other drug paraphernalia. Officers also seized a bottle of bear spray, a switchblade, a set of brass knuckles, a brass knuckle knife and three replica firearms: a Glock 19 pistol BB gun, a Crosman pistol BB gun and an MCP pistol BB gun. Woman arrested on outstanding warrants A 39-year-old local woman was also arrested during the investigation on outstanding warrants issued in Cochrane. She was transported to Cochrane by OPP to answer those charges.
