Unlimited breadsticks anyone? American restaurant chain Olive Garden appears set to open its doors in the nation’s capital this week. “Psst we open on Tuesday,” reads a sign placed underneath the chain’s logo sometime overnight. Ownership group Recipe Unlimited announced plans to open a Westboro location at 675 Kirkwood Ave. in the Hampton Park Plaza earlier this year. The restaurant says it planned to open around “mid-summer” but an exact date had not been released. Its website says it will not be accepting reservations for the time being and welcoming guests on a first-come-first-served basis. “Because we are expecting strong demand during our opening, we recommend planning for a wait. At launch, we will not be offering a remote waitlist, so seating will be managed entirely on a first-come, first-served basis,” the restaurant says. “Please plan to join the line in person, and rest assured our team will do everything they can to get you seated as quickly as possible.” A full menu is already available online. The Italian restaurant chain is owned by the Vaughan-based Recipe Unlimited Group in Canada, which also operates other brands, including Swiss Chalet, St. Hubert, Harvey’s, Montana’s, Kelseys and East Side Mario’s.
