A 22-year-old man is facing a charge of attempted murder in connection to an assault in a parking lot in Gatineau Park. The Gatineau Police Service says a man was found suffering from injuries in a parking lot P3 in Gatineau, Que. on July 12. The victim remains in hospital in serious condition. The P3 lot is located near Gatineau Park’s south entrance on Boulevard Louise-Campagna/Gamelin. Police say the suspect will face charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault. The suspect remains in custody and will appear in a Quebec court on Thursday, according to police. On Wednesday, police executed a search warrant at an apartment on Boulevard du Plateau. Police say police will remain on scene for 24 hours as part of the investigation.
