Ottawa is one of five stops where you can catch the world’s first professional mixed-gender curling league in action. The Rock League event will take place February 4–7, 2027, at TD Place. The event will being “six global franchises and the world’s top women’s and men’s curlers to Ottawa for four days of fast-paced, team-based curling,” according to a news release. “I’m so excited to be kind of the ‘hometown person,’ player in the event,” said three-time world champion curler Emma Miskew, who will be participating in the event. “It’s such a nice opportunity to come and watch some great curling and something that’s a unique thing to watch, too.” The event is taking place during Winterlude and Ottawa Tourism expects it to be a big draw. “I think just showing ourselves as an international sport community, we support these events.” “Ottawa brings the noise, they bring the enthusiasm,” says Mark Goudie, President and Chief Executive Officer, OSEG. Full-event and weekend passes are available for purchase beginning Friday, Sept. 25. Single-game tickets will be available in the coming months. “It’s a fun experience,” says Jennifer Cram, Rock League head of communications. “The games are very fast paced.
