Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 53-year-old Ottawa massage therapist with sexual assault following an incident in April. Police say an investigation began in July regarding allegations of a sexual assault while the victim was at a business in Beckwith Township. Jeremy Finn, a Stittsville resident, has been arrested and charged with one count of sexual assault, according to OPP. In a statement posted on its website, the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario confirms it is investigating and that Finn is no longer permitted to practice. “CMTO urges anyone with relevant information or concerns about this individual to contact the College immediately. All reports will be handled confidentially and with sensitivity to support affected individuals,” the college said. Finn was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. The charges have not been proven in court. Police are asking anyone who has information that may be relevant to call 1-888-310-1122.
