Turnovers in the fourth quarter proved to be the undoing of the University of Regina Rams’ perfect season in a 22-20 loss to the University of Saskatchewan Huskies. The Rams turned the ball over three times in the final three minutes of the contest including a mishandled kick return after a Daniel Wiebe touchdown for the Huskies. The Huskies shut down the powerful Rams ground game which has been a dominant trait, holding Marshall Erichsen to just 76 yards on 17 carries. Veteran pivot Noah Pelletier finished 21 for 38, 196 yards and a pair of touchdown passes for the Rams. Nick Sirleaf, of Brooks, Alta., led the Rams in receiving with seven catches for 58 yards. The Rams return home on Saturday, Sept. 27 to face the Manitoba Bisons at Mosaic Stadium at 2 p.m.
