A fundraiser has been launched for a Saskatchewan man who lost his wife and two young daughters in a crash last week. Shaun Didychuk, his wife Amber, and his two daughters, Everly and Isla, were in a crash west of Foam Lake on Friday just after 12:30 p.m. Didychuk’s wife and his daughters, ages eight and five, were pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. He was taken to hospital by STARS with serious injuries. A GoFundMe was launched to help Didychuk with medical expenses, funeral and memorial costs, and other immediate necessities. As of Tuesday afternoon, the fundraiser has reached $27,322 of its $40,000 goal. Since the crash, members of the community have rallied behind the family by offering messages of condolences and placing stuffed animals on their steps, one for each girl. A 40-year-old man from South Carolina was arrested is facing several charges in relation to the crash. He was also injured and remained hospitalized as of Monday. In a message to CTV News, the organizer said the family has requested privacy at this time.
