Those looking to trek across Regina on an e-scooter are bound to notice some changes, following some business developments behind the scenes. Lime Canada officially became the operator of Regina’s shared e-scooter program on Aug. 7. The company’s trademarked green and white Gen-4 e-scooters have been seen at pickup sites throughout the Queen City. The city’s previous vendor, Neuron Mobility, was acquired by Lime Canada earlier this year, taking over operations in 12 Canadian cities and regions including Regina and Saskatoon. Preparations are still underway in the Bridge City, with Lime Canada’s Government Relations Lead Carling Dick saying the service hopes to launch there “as soon as possible.” “We understand that people all over Canada and in Regina and Saskatoon rely on shared micromobility and we’re taking over a service that we hope will continue to grow in popularity,” she said in a statement to CTV News. “We look forward to working closely with the City and local community to build on the foundation already in place and deliver a great experience for riders.” The company went on to say that riders can expect to see the scooters in similar locations as it studies how to implement improvements going forward. For residents who purchased credit with Neuron, the company says any remaining balances will be refunded by Neuron. Lime represents the third company the City of Regina has partnered with since the introduction of e-scooter services in 2023. Bird and Neuron both operated in the city from 2023 through 2024. Neuron took over as the city’s sole operator in 2025. According to the city, riders will need to download the Lime app to access the new service. With files from The Canadian Press
