CF Montreal has boosted their attacking ranks with a veteran international superstar as they have signed Chilean forward Alexis Sánchez as a designated player, according to multiple reports. Sánchez spent last season playing with LaLiga side Sevilla, where he contributed four goals in 28 games. The 37-year-old is well travelled and has appeared for some of the biggest clubs in the world, including Arsenal, Manchester United, Inter Milan and Barcelona. Internationally, Sánchez is Chile’s leading scorer and also has the most caps for their national team. CF Montreal is currently second last in the MLS’ Eastern Conference standings with 16 points. They hold a 4-10-4 record and their 24 goals has them tied for the second least in the Conference.
