Three people including two youths are facing multiple firearms charges after a home was allegedly shot at on Hatchet Lake Denesuline First Nation in northern Saskatchewan. Wollaston Lake RCMP were called to a report of a firearm being discharged on Sept. 18. Investigators determined individuals fired a gun at a home and hit it. No one in the house reported any injuries. A search warrant was excited at another home in the community where an 18-year-old woman was arrested. Afterwards, a teenage boy was arrested on Sept. 21, followed by a second teenage boy on Oct. 2. All three were charged with nine offences, including conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, discharging a firearm with intent, pointing a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm. They’re also charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, knowingly possessing a firearm without a licence, using a firearm in the commission of an offence and possessing a firearm in a motor vehicle. The 18-year-old faces additional charges of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and five counts of failing to comply with a release order. The two youths cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. One of the teens is scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Oct. 5 The 18-year-old and other teen are scheduled to appear in court in Wollaston Lake on Oct. 14.
