Toronto police say a teenager has died after they were struck by a train in the city’s east end. Police confirmed to CP24 that the were called to the are of Monarch Park, near Greenwood Avenue and Gerrard Street, at around 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday after receiving reports that a person had been struck by a train. One person was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The deceased, they added, is believed to be a teenager but an exact age was not provided. “The investigation is still ongoing, and there is no further information available at this time,” police said in an email.
