Durham police to provide update on probe into break-ins, vehicle thefts, and attempted carjackings

Durham Regional Police will be providing an update this morning on an investigation into a series of commercial break-and-enters, vehicle thefts, and attempted carjackings.

Details of the probe, dubbed Project Magenta, will be announced at a news conference at Durham police headquarters on Thursday morning.

Acting Deputy Chief Glenn Courneyea will be on hand for the update, scheduled for 11 a.m., along with Det.-Sgt. Dave Davies.
