Woman hit by truck in Brampton taken to hospital

A woman is in hospital with serious, but not life-threatening, injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing a Brampton road.

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a truck in Brampton on Friday afternoon.

The incident happened in the area of Bovaird Drive and Castlemore Road around 1:30 p.m.

Peel paramedics tell CP24 that a woman in her 30s was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The truck remained at the scene. No word on whether charges will be laid.
