B.C. woman missing after car found abandoned on ferry to Metro Vancouver

SUNSHINE COAST — Police in B.C. are asking for the public’s help after a missing woman’s vehicle was abandoned on a BC Ferries vessel.

RCMP say Joyelle Goldbard’s orange Subaru was found unclaimed on the 2:35 p.m. ferry sailing on Thursday from Langdale to Horseshoe Bay in Metro Vancouver.

Police say no one fitting Goldbard’s description was identified upon the ferry’s arrival in Horseshoe Bay, and family members are very worried about her well-being.

Goldbard’s wallet, personal belongings and cellphone were all found inside her abandoned vehicle.

The missing woman is a 51-year-old resident of Roberts Creek and had previously gone by the name of Kristi Brandt.

Police say she has several tattoos, including a phoenix on the back of her neck and a full sleeve on her left arm, and anyone with information should contact the RCMP.
