A 33-year-old man is dead after being hit by an industrial truck during road work in Brampton on Wednesday afternoon. Emergency crews were called to Countryside Drive east of McVean Drive for a collision shortly before 1:30 p.m. Peel police said a male worker was pronounced dead at the scene. Images from the CP24 / CTV News Toronto helicopter show the truck remained at the scene. The circumstances surrounding the collision are not immediately known. Police said the Ministry of Labour has been notified.
