A teenager riding an e-scooter was taken to hospital in critical condition after getting hit by a car Monday night. According to police, the crash took place at Lake Crest Road and Waverley Street and involved a 2010 Honda CR-V and an e-scooter. Police say the teen was crossing Waverley Street and was struck by the CR-V, which was travelling south at the time. The driver of the e-scooter suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital in critical condition. The driver of the CR-V, also a teenager, remained on scene and was interviewed by police. The crash remains under investigation.
