The Community Veterinary Clinic is offering every dog getting a spay or neuter a free parvovirus/distemper vaccine and a treat bag from Ren’s Pets Windsor. The event was launched because of the impact parvovirus has had on Windsor-Essex. “Parvovirus continues to affect dogs and the people who care for them, leaving many families to cope with the emotional and financial burden of a disease that is largely preventable through routine vaccination,” a news release read. The Community Veterinary Clinic says it believes every pet deserves access to essential preventative veterinary ccare. “Spaying and neutering already provide lasting benefits by reducing pet overpopulation and improving long-term pet health,” it concluded. “Adding a protective core vaccine during the same visit is another way to ensure dogs receive the protection they need while making the most of a single appointment.” This will continue until the end of August.
