A man was rushed to the hospital after gunshots rang out in Toronto’s west end early Sunday morning. The incident happened in the Bloorcourt Village neighbourhood, near Bloor Street West and Dovercourt Road. Toronto police said they were called to that area just before 5:15 a.m. for reports of a shooting outside a building. There, officers located an adult male who had been shot. The victim was transported to the hospital via emergency run by ambulance, they said. Police later said that the victim’s injuries have been determined to be non-life-threatening. No suspect descriptions are available at this time and the circumstances that led to this shooting are still unknown. Bloor Street West was closed between Dovercourt Road and Westmoreland Avenue but has since reopened. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to contact Toronto police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
