The Essex County Homelessness Hub will continue to provide the same level of services, despite a funding shortfall. Essex County Council voted to use surplus funds from its community services budget to help keep operations afloat. Rising costs and a decrease in funding have made an impact on the operation in Leamington. Stagg say the surplus was the result of a budget review, showing some clients need less financial support than expected. Up to $25,000 was also approved for a temporary outreach worker to improve data collection. - With files from CTV Windsor’s Lori Berg.
