A razor thin margin has seen Michael Macri elected as mayor in LaSalle, according to unofficial results. On Monday, Macri topped Crystal Meloche by 40 votes in her re-election bid to secure the chains of office. Meloche conceded the race and congratulated Macri in an online post. “I wish him and the new council all the very best as they move our town forward,” she wrote. “I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together, grateful for the friendships I’ve made along the way, and thankful for every opportunity this journey has given me.” Macri won with 5,051 votes while Meloche trailed close behind with 5,016 and fellow mayoral challenger Shaun Dass finished with 3,197.
