A Leamington man has pled guilty to multiple charges including drug trafficking and possession of a firearm while on probation. Joseph Andary, 36, was arrested by the Essex County OPP Community Street Crime Unit along with Leamington OPP and an RCMP canine unit on Oct. 11, 2024, at a residence in Leamington. More than one kilogram of cocaine was seized along with cash, jewelry and a TV. The street value of the drugs is more than $104,000. According to a presentencing report, Andary’s drug trafficking was, in part, to purchase his uncle’s pizza shop in Leamington. Andary appeared in Windsor Superior Court Tuesday where he pled guilty to four counts. The Crown is requesting a six-year jail sentence. Defence lawyer Ken Marley is asking for 51-month sentence. Andary is scheduled to be sentenced on June 5.
