The Detroit Lions has unveiled its new Rivalries jersey, but you only get one chance to see it. The team said it was created part of the Nike and NFL Rivalries program. The “Defend the Den” jerseys are white with dark, carbon-fibre-inspired numbers, Honolulu blue accents, with “Detroit” across the chest. It said the shoulders are also designed to look like a lion’s gaze. “Detroit was one defined by what it built. Now, it’s defined by what it overcame; by its complete refusal to surrender,” the Lions posted on social media. “That mentality is reflected by its people and its football team, in the way they guard the places they call home. Every opponent is an intruder.” The jerseys will be worn Nov. 1 at Ford Field when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.
