A 47-year-old Petrolia man is facing impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Tecumseh, provincial police say. OPP responded to a report of a vehicle that struck a guardrail near Provincial Road at about 1:56 p.m. on Wednesday. Police said the driver was not injured in the collision and was charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and dangerous operation. Police said the accused was also issued a 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.
