A newlywed couple is sharing their love story across the world and their passion for the augmented reality mobile game, Pokémon Go. “It’s kind of hard to keep track of all of the wild adventures that we’ve been on,” said Sandra Dorgy. Since her one-of-kind wedding with husband Les, a Windsor firefighter, Pokémon Go officials sent a camera crew to Windsor to document their love story. Filming continued in Japan, where they spent their honeymoon. “Japan is a whole different level of intensity,” explained Les. “Everyone there is very intense, very passionate about anime. They don’t hold back like they do in North America.” The Dorgys told CTV News Windsor they were part of the Pokémon Go Fest media tour in Japan. They were interviewed by a wedding magazine, a local newspaper, and appeared on Japan’s national news channel. “Our love story, connecting through Pokémon, is a one in a million story, if not rarer,” said Les proudly. “They’re so happy to embrace us with our Pokémon love story and our adventure around the world.” Following their honeymoon, the pair celebrated another big accomplishment and in Pokémon Go style. “I just graduated as a nurse practitioner. I added some little Pokémon touches to my graduation cap,” detailed Sandra. Sandra is now a Pokémon Go ambassador. She represented the City of Windsor at the White Sox Pokémon Go night in Chicago. The pair’s adventures don’t stop here. They will attend their next Pokémon event in Los Angeles in February, where they believe a camera crew will continue to document their love story in the City of Lights. “That’s the best part about this game.
