Windsor Light Music Theatre is getting a major audio upgrade, thanks to a grant of $146,600 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). Local MPP Andrew Dowie, Windsor West MPP Lisa Gretzky, and John Fairley of St. Clair College were in attendance to celebrate the grant. The funding will go toward new microphones and sound equipment, improving audio quality for shows at the Chrysler Theatre and youth programming. The theatre plans to debut the upgraded system during its upcoming production of ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’ in November. “We’re so thankful for the Ontario Trillium Foundation that that is a huge step for us that we are again helping our performers, but more importantly, helping our audiences get a much better production at the end,” Connie Farrer, president at Windsor Light Music Theatre. The OTF is an agency of the Ontario government whose aim is to build healthy and vibrant communities across the province. Last year, OTF invested nearly $105 million into 732 community projects.
