A major outage in Winnipeg’s River Heights neighbourhood is entering its third day. According to Manitoba Hydro, around 600 customers remain without power on Wednesday morning. In a social media post, the Crown corporation said it made “better than expected” progress on Tuesday and expects all power to be restored on Wednesday. CTV News previously that a major storm on Sunday caused widespread outages in the area. Hydro said the outages were due to downed power lines, splintered trees, broken utility poles and other damaged infrastructure.
