Cyclist taken to hospital after collision in Moncton

A cyclist was taken to hospital after they were hit by a vehicle in Moncton, N.B., Sunday afternoon.

Police, fire and ambulance crews responded to the collision at the intersection of Gordon Street and Dominion Street around 12:45 p.m.

“The cyclist was travelling southbound on Dominion Street and entered the intersection without stopping at a posted stop sign,” the RCMP said in an email to CTV Atlantic.

“The cyclist was hit by a vehicle that had the right of way, as there was no stop sign controlling eastbound traffic on Gordon Street.”

The cyclist was treated at the scene and taken to hospital for more treatment.

There is no word on the extent of the cyclist’s injuries.
