A 25-year-old Lower Sackville, N.S., woman has been arrested for impaired driving following a single-vehicle crash in the community. Emergency crews responded to the crash on the northbound Bedford Bypass off-ramp around 5 p.m. Saturday. “Upon arrival, officers observed a Toyota Yaris off the roadway and on its roof and a woman who had already been removed from the vehicle,” reads a news release from the Nova Scotia RCMP. “Officers learned that the Yaris had been travelling from Dartmouth when it veered off the road into a ditch.” The RCMP says the driver showed signs of impairment when speaking with officers and was arrested for impaired driving. She was taken to the Lower Sackville RCMP Detachment, where police say she provided two breath samples of 210 mg% and 190 mg%.
