An Ontario man is facing several charges after he allegedly threatened fellow campers and barricaded himself inside a trailer at a campground in Melbourne, N.S. Yarmouth RCMP responded to a complaint that a man was threatening people at the campground on Comeaus Hill Road around 11:50 p.m. Friday. Police allege the man told people he had firearms and threatened to release his dog on them. The RCMP says the officers spotted firearms inside the man’s trailer and the man then barricaded himself inside. Police worked with campground security and evacuated people from the area as a precaution. “At approximately 12:45 a.m., the man exited the trailer and was safely arrested,” said the RCMP. “Officers subsequently seized three loaded shotguns and one loaded rifle.” Cody Wayne Gauthier, 38, of Brampton, Ont., has been charged with the following offences: Gauthier was remanded into custody and is due to appear in Yarmouth provincial court on Monday.
