The Ottawa Police Service says five people are facing charges following a significant drug bust in the capital last week. Police said on Thursday that officers with the organized crime unit and the tactical unit searched two locations in Riverside South and one in Nepean while executing a drug warrant on Sept. 18. Officers seized more than 16 kilograms of cocaine, approximately 950 grams of MDMA, as well as cannabis products, prescription pills, and Canadian and U.S. currency. Four residents of Ottawa and one resident of the GTA were arrested. Police say they each face numerous charges in connection with the investigation. Their names and charges were not included in a news release on Thursday. The investigation remains ongoing.
