The road has been closed, and Greater Sudbury fire crews are on the scene Thursday of a natural gas leak on Haig Street. “We have hazmat technicians working with Enbridge to control the hazard,” the fire department said in a social media post. “Residents can expect disruptions to gas and hydro utilities in the area. Haig is closed to all traffic. Further traffic interruptions may occur on neighbouring roads as we work to mitigate the problem.” Residents are being asked to avoid the area.
