It was another gloomy start to the day for residents of Barrie, but it appears nicer weather will stop in before the day’s end. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), a 30 per cent chance of showers remains during the morning hours but residents of Barrie can expect a break in cloud cover around 1 p.m. After that, the clouds will begin to clear out, leaving residents with “mainly sunny” conditions by 5 p.m. Residents can expect a daytime high of 21 C and a low of 10 C, with a UV index of 5 and a Humidex rating of 25. Winds are expected to gust up to 40 km/h during the afternoon hour but slow down as the day progresses.
