While a suspect is still not known and questions remain more than a week after a deadly shooting in Midland, police could be one step closer to finding answers. The OPP says it’s been able to identify a witness, after making a public appeal for information when 18-year-old Tryce James from Etobicoke was shot and killed at a Midland apartment complex on July 31. Investigators say they’ve been able to identify and speak with the driver of the silver sedan that was identified in the King Street and Little Lake Park area. Although the driver was not involved in the incident, police say they could be a witness in the case. Authorities continue to look for photos, videos, surveillance and dashcam footage of anything in that area and surrounding roads between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on July 31. Investigators urge anyone to come forward who may have information, even if the footage may appear to be insignificant. They say it could help them to determine timelines, identify more witnesses and keep the investigation moving forward.
