A 17-year-old from Tiny Township has been charged after an online threat was reportedly directed at a Midland-area school. Southern Georgian Bay OPP officers were called to the faculty on Thursday. Following an investigation, the teen was charged with uttering threats for a dangerous purpose and possession of weapons for a dangerous purpose. The accused is scheduled to appear in court this November. Police say their identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Investigators confirm the incident is isolated and there are no ongoing concerns for the safety of students or the public.
