Oro-Medonte is hosting its fourth Week of Welcome, between September 14 and 18. “On behalf of township council and staff, we look forward to opening our doors to the Oro-Medonte community, neighbours, and everyone new to the Simcoe County area, to this informative and interactive Week of Welcome event,” said Oro-Medonte Mayor Randy Greenlaw. Residents can learn about the public services that are available, including bill payments, dog tags, parking passes, fire safety, economic development, the 2026 election and more. The event is being held Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Simcoe Woods Community Centre on Horseshoe Valley Road West for Oro-Medonte’s Municipal Open House. Daily scheduled events include newcomer mobile resource tours, an employer engagement session on Tuesday, a hiring event on Wednesday, municipal events on Thursday, and a Citizenship Ceremony on September 18. “I personally encourage attendees to interact with township staff, who will be available at the event, to learn about programs, services, and features of Oro-Medonte, that truly make our beautiful township welcoming and unique,” Greenlaw said.
