For residents of Barrie, Monday morning arrived with the sound of light drizzle pitter-patting on the windows of their homes. According to Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC), residents can expect an 80 per cent chance of precipitation until 6 p.m. Over the course of the day, the weather agency says residents can expect a daytime high of 19 C and a low of 14 C. Showers are expected all day, according to ECCC, which predicts a risk of thunderstorms starting at 3 p.m. and lasting until the evening. After 6 p.m. the risk of thunderstorms is no longer present, ECCC says, but a 40 per cent chance of precipitation remains well into the following day. Monday’s UV index is rated at a three and residents can expect up to 20 km/h winds starting in the morning until 7 p.m.
